Overview
The Mixer Operator is responsible for supplying a consistently mixed dough in a timely manner utilizing standardized formulations and mixing procedures. This is a second and third shift position.
Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety standards and wear all required safety equipment;
- Follows recipe sequence to successfully complete the batch within quality tolerance;
- Communicates with team leader regarding any processing deviations;
- Ensures that dough ingredients are accurately scaled, efficiently loaded and properly mixed per standard formulation and procedure;
- Ensures that the processing equipment is supplied with sufficient mixed material to maintain continuous, uninterrupted operation;
- Accurately completes paperwork;
- Observe Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable company policies;
- Keep work area neat, clean, and organized;
- Perform other required tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Minimum Three (3) months experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus;
- Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Must be able to listen to and follow basic instructions and work routines;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions;
- Ability to understand and follow safety rules and instructions;
- Able to work around flour and other bakery ingredients as part of the daily activities;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motion;
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently throughout a day;
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach and bend for extended periods of time;
- Exhibit a positive attitude within a team environment;
- Detail oriented and self-motivated;
- Regular and predictable attendance.
