Overview

The Frozen Warehouse Inventory Supervisor is responsible for limiting company product loss by recovering misplaced inventory and ensuring data is correct in the warehouse management system.


Job Responsibilities

  • Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s);
  • Safety, demonstrated behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries;
  • Maintains shelf accuracy of product in the warehouse and helps to resolve product related problems to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity;
  • Maintain BIN table;
  • Maintain BIN labels as needed;
  • Responsible for providing improvement suggestions for Rack layout, Product location slotting, Warehouse Management Software, process, and system changes;
  • Assigns product to appropriate rack (or storage) type, distribution center zone, area and location within the zone, and final shelf location on the rack;
  • Ensures the plan design provides the shortest pick path for any order and the least amount of vertical movement by user;
  • Engage in cycle counting methodology to count out all bin locations with corrective actions;
  • Perform occupancy data collection and management of bins;
  • Assign put away to the strategy of the freezer receiving work;
  • Coordinate bin clean up exercises for proper strategy based on pallet heights;
  • Run reports for monthly and/or annual inventory counts and recounts;
  • Provide bin status updates for bin structure issues;
  • Reconcile daily production cases;
  • Maintain hold inventory management for any product stored at Avon for the Frozen Warehouse;
  • Maintain sample inventory management for any product stored at Avon for the Frozen Warehouse;
  • Support the strategy for inbound loads to Avon for storage strategy compliance;
  • Investigate errors on inventory accuracy to improve day to day management and use of the warehouse management system (ESM);
  • Performs other required tasks as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required;
  • At least 2 years of knowledge and experience in warehousing and material handling;
  • Previous experience as a cycle counter / inventory control associate required;
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems;
  • Strong computer skills especially Excel (intermediate level required);
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to identifying data inaccuracies;
  • Ability to work independently on daily tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Trained to operate mobile equipment, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate data analysis;
  • Ability to withstand below -10 degrees Fahrenheit for an extended period;
  • Physical ability to handle product and pallets weighing up to 60 lbs.;
  • Experience working in a food processing or packaging environment a plus;
  • Experience working in a GMP compliant environment;
  • Able to work at heights up to 30 feet;
  • Exhibit a positive attitude within a team environment.
